Two Good Friends and a Great Idea
Mezcla was born out of a great friendship between our founders Griffin and Coco. Griffin was a senior at The University of Virginia and Coco was a guest presenter in his social entrepreneurship class. Griffin was drawn to Coco’s love of food, and the two quickly formed a friendship. Together in Coco’s kitchen, they mixed recipes and stories as they created the first Mezcla Bar. They named their partnership “Mezcla” (mixture in Spanish) to represent the mixture of flavors and communities they were building.

Feel-Good Ingredients in Every Bar.
At Mezcla, we are all about the ingredients. Pea protein, for example, is the main ingredient in our Puff-Crispy Bars. It’s this base that gives our bars the taste of a crispy treat and the nutrition of a protein bar. In every bar, we create bold flavor by mixing in other whole ingredients like quinoa, nuts and sea salt to perfectly balance the crunch, flavor and protein power.
